Team Losi Sweeps this World Championships!

Team Losi drivers made history at the 2002 IFMAR Off-Road World Championships taking the top qualifying position and finishing 1st and 2nd in both the 2Wheel Drive and 4 Wheel Drive classes. This years event, held in Pretoria, South Africa, marks the first time a single R/C car manufacture has won, not to mention top qualify, every class at the most prestigious off-road event in the world. The World Championships are held every two years, bringing together the best of the best in R/C racing for what is recognized as the most important competition of the era. Matt Francis and his Team Losi XXX-4 prototype and XXX buggies were simply stunning, taking the top qualifying position in both 4-wheel drive and 2-wheel drive. Matt and Team Losi deservedly can claim the undisputed title of “Fastest in the World”. Matt raced to the 2 Wheel Drive World Championship with Team Losi teammate Brian Kinwald taking second. Team Losi engineer, Jukka Steenari repeated as the 4 Wheel Drive World Champion with Matt a close second that saw Team Losi cars finish 1-2-3-4-5-7-9. Team Losi’s remarkable World Championships performance included more A-Main finalists using Team Losi cars than all other manufactures combined. Congratulations are due the South African race organizers and all of the racers for another great event. A huge thanks to all of the drivers who have helped make Team Losi the undisputed World Champions.
